Flickout Privacy Policy

Flickout: Arrow Escape Puzzle (Android, com.flickout.app) · Last updated 2 October 2026

Who we are

Flickout is made by Launchship IT & Media Services Private Limited, India ("we"). Questions and privacy requests: jay@launchship.com.

Flickout has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address or phone number.

What stays on your phone

The game saves these on the device only: a random install id, the day you last played, your best run, the run in progress, your settings (sound, haptics, animation, theme, zoom), your Practice progress, whether you bought Remove ads and how many hints you have, and a count of ads shown today. Android backup is off for the app, so these are not copied to other devices. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes them.

Product analytics (PostHog)

To learn which boards are too hard or too easy, the app sends anonymous gameplay events to PostHog (us.i.posthog.com), which processes them for us. Events cover: starting a run, clearing or failing a board (board number, size, arrows, lives left, time taken, hint used), using a hint, ending a run, tapping share, returning on a later day, the levels update check, and app errors (a short error message and where in the code it happened).

Each event carries the random install id and technical details added by the PostHog library: operating system and version, device type, browser engine and user agent, screen and window size, time zone, app version, and session id. The connection reveals your IP address, from which a general location can be estimated. We do not send the board layout, and session recording and automatic click capture are off. The install id is not linked to your name, email or Google account.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The free game shows ads from Google AdMob: a full-screen ad between some boards, and a video you choose to watch for an extra life. The Google Mobile Ads SDK collects your device's Advertising ID and app set ID, IP address (general location), ad interactions such as taps and video views, and diagnostics such as app launch time. Google uses this to show ads, measure them and prevent fraud. Ads are set to a General content rating and play muted.

Where the law requires consent (for example in the EEA and UK), Google's consent form appears first, and Settings → Privacy choices lets you change your choice later. Elsewhere ads may be personalised. You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your phone's Google settings. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Buying Remove ads stops the full-screen ads. Videos you choose to watch for a reward stay available.

Purchases (Google Play)

Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. The app checks the purchase on your phone to unlock it, and Google Play restores it if you reinstall.

Level updates

The app may download a small levels file from levels.web-arrows.pages.dev (hosted on Cloudflare) to adjust puzzle difficulty. That request sends no id; like any web request it reveals your IP address to the host.

Sharing your score

Share builds a score card on your phone and passes it to the app you pick. We receive nothing except that share was tapped.

What we don't do

Security and retention

Everything the app sends travels over HTTPS. Analytics events are kept only as long as we need them to improve the game. Because they carry only a random install id, we usually cannot tell which events are yours. Clearing the app's storage or reinstalling gives you a new id, and new events are no longer linked to the old ones. If you write to us we will help as far as we can match your data.

Children

Flickout is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

When the app's data practices change we update this page and its date.
